The Washington, DC Chapter has had a long and proud history of outstanding leadership. We give special recognition to those who have served in the Chapter's highest leadership capacity, Chapter President. Ways To Get Involved 

The Washington, DC Chapter is administered solely by alumni volunteers who give freely of their time and talents to make it possible for alumni in the Washington, DC metropolitan area to celebrate their Trojan Pride. As a member of the Chapter, you can get involved at many levels and in many different ways. So make the most of your membership by getting involved today!

Become a Chapter Leader
There are many leadership positions available that will allow you the opportunity to have a real impact on the success of the Chapter. The Chapter’s executive board consists of eight elected positions and five President-appointed committee chair positions. Each holding a two-year term. The eight elected positions include: President; Vice-President; Recording Secretary; Corresponding Secretary; Treasurer; Financial Secretary; Parliamentarian, and Chaplain. The five President-appointed committee chair positions include: Activities; Amenities; Membership; Recruitment, and Scholarship.

Join a Chapter Committee

Serving on a Chapter committee is one of the easiest ways to get involved with the Washington, DC Chapter. Not only will this give you a hands-on experience in the inner workings of the Chapter, but it also is a great way to get the most out of your Chapter membership.

Make a Scholarship Donation
The funds that the Chapter raises to help support Washington, DC metropolitan area students who desire to matriculate at our beloved Alma Mater comes primarily from our members and from those who support our mission and purpose. M onetary donations are always welcome from those who would like to help advance the Virginia State University Alumni Association and its Washington, DC Chapter. Scholarship donations should be made payable to the VSUAA-DC Chapter, and the word "Scholarship Donation" earmarked in the memo section. All donations are tax deductible and a receipt can be issued if requested.

Be a Sponsor or Partner
Do you have a product, service, or business that you would like to promote exclusively to Washington, DC Chapter members through face-to-face communication? If so, you can maximize your exposure by becoming a Chapter sponsor or partner at our events held throughout the year. This may include funding support, in-kind donations, and other mutual benefiting partnerships. Your support would not only help further the mission of the Chapter but it would also help you create an emotional tie and leave a lasting impression with alumni consumers.
