The central purpose of this committee is to oversee the awarding of the Chapter's three annual scholarships. These include our:
- Endowed Scholarship Fund
A scholarship that is awarded to Washington, DC metropolitan area high school students from a portion of the interest earned from funds that the Chapter invests into this account.
- Washington, DC Chapter Provost Scholarship Fund
A $3,500 scholarship that is awarded to Washington, DC metropolitan area students who meet the criteria for receiving a Provost Scholarship from the University.
- Washington, DC Chapter Book Scholarships
Book scholarships used to provide financial relief to a Washington, DC metropolitan area student for the purchase of college textbooks.
Funding for each of these scholarships are rendered in part from proceeds from our annual chapter fundraising events, annual membership dues, the Trojan Pride License Plate initiative, and individual contributions.
